Welcome to Lincoln, VA
Lincoln is an historic unincorporated village in the Loudoun Valley of Loudoun County, Virginia, located approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south of Purcellville. It was established as the community of Goose Creek during the 1750s by Quaker settlers and renamed Lincoln after the president shortly after his election.

About Us
The Lincoln Community League (LCL) was first formed over 80 years ago in response to a community need to install sidewalks and streetlights in the Village of Lincoln and to support Lincoln’s schools. Re-established in 1971, LCL has functioned continuously, and was incorporated in 1995 as a 501 (c)(4) organization so that it could expand its role to include operation of the post office under contract with the U.S.P.S. The league is governed by an elected board consisting of four officers and from one to seven ‘at-large’ members. LCL organizes social events and fund raisers, offers assistance to those in need, provides a forum for discussion on matters that might impact the community and encourages residents to participate in those activities/causes that are deemed valuable to Lincoln’s future and continuous well-being.
The LCL is primarily supported by dues and donations collected annually from all Lincoln area residents interested in furthering the work of the organization. A ‘Lincoln area resident’ is defined as any friend who identifies with our community. Members are made aware of events and issues by means of a quarterly newsletter, E-mails bulletin Boards located in the Post Office and the Lincoln ‘chalk board’.
The Lincoln Community League believes strongly that the Goose Creek Society of Friends, Lincoln Elementary School, the Post Office, local businesses, and the historic nature of the village and surrounding Goose Creek Historic District, make Lincoln a unique community worth preserving.
In 2000, members established the Lincoln Preservation Foundation, as a separate 501 (c) (3) organization, to address issues that were outside the scope of the Lincoln Community League.
